Question #1

What causes blackheads, how do you get rid of them and how do you prevent then from coming back?

Blackheads are simply closed pores. This generally occurs when you over dry the surface of your skin by using too strong or harsh of a cleanser or too rich of a moisturizer. The best way to prevent blackheads is to use products that are properly formulated for your skin type. The first step is to have a professional esthetician identify your skin type. Regular facials and a good home care routine will then help to remove and prevent blackheads. We recommed using Continuous Renewal Serum by MD Formuations. This light, water-based lotion works to refine surface skin and diminish the visible signs of aging. The lotion gently exfoliates to reveal a softer, smoother, younger-looking complexion. This clinically proven formula reduces the appearance of fine lines and minimizes pore clogging.

Question #2

I have a puffy under eye area, what can be done?

Puffy eyes are generally worse in the morning and can be aggravated by sinus and allergy trouble. Fluids become trapped in the delicate eye tissues and swell. Drink plenty of water to clean out system, neglect salty foods which cause the eye area to hold fluid. We recommed using Brighten & Tighten Eye Serum by MD Formuations. The perfect solution to instantly erase the signs of sleepless nights and early mornings, and promote an overall more vibrant, youthful-looking eye area. Another great product is Moisture Defense Antioxidant Eye Creme by MD Formuations. This eye creme restores vital moisture and rebuilds the protective barrier with natural plant extracts and four powerful antioxidants to defend against environmental stress.

Question #3

My saggy under eye area seems to give my age away, what can be done?

Because there is no bone underneath the eye, this area is the first to show signs of aging. Using an eye cream that is formulated to help firm and tighten should be applied. By super hydrating the eye area gradual improvements are seen in the firmness and texture. We recommend using VIT-A- PLUS by MD Formuations. It should be applied sparingly all the way around the eye (even above). Gently pat and allow to dry - continued use will increase improvements.

Question #4

Ingrown hairs – is there anything to prevent them and help remove the dark spots after?

Ingrown hairs not only hurt they look unattractive. Some have dark discolored marks on the skin. The best thing to do is prevent as many as you can. Waxing will help reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs for most people. If you have heavy curly hair or oily skin this may not be enough.

What happens is that as the hair starts to exit the skin it turns and renters. Most of the time this is due to curly hair or if your pores are clogged by dead cells. Using a scrub on the area once a day helps rub away dead surface cells that accumulate on the skin and will close pores. Using
Tend Skin Liquid will also help to reduce the appearance of existing ingrown hairs.
